Come and join one of Bristol’s most respected General Practice teams! A unique opportunity has arisen at Fallodon Way Medical Centre for an Allied Health Professional to provide an acute clinic for adults at the surgery. Delivering a quality service alongside the GPs and practice pharmacist, the clinician will conduct face to face and telephone consultations with patients with urgent medical problems. This is a new role, and the right candidate will have the opportunity to shape both the role and the practice response to same day needs, both in the style of provision and the practice response to urgent demand.

The position is likely to suit an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, a Pharmacist or a Paramedic. Being an independent prescriber is desirable but not essential; the practice would support the right candidate in achieving this after appointment. The successful candidate must be able to reach autonomous decisions and must have experience in “minor illness” and telephone consultation. It is envisaged that the role may include home visiting in time.

The role will be approximately 25 hours a week over 5 days and so could be worked during school hours. Salary will be competitive dependent on experience. Fallodon Way is a fun, friendly and high achieving practice, and you would be joining a close-knit team of supportive professionals in a long established and respected surgery.

Information about the practice is available at www.fwmc.org.uk  To arrange an informal visit or to apply (by sending your CV), please contact the Practice Manager, Leigh Frost on leighfrost@nhs.net or 0117 962 4692. Closing date is Friday 21st December 2018.
