Bank Tiverton Urgent Treatment Centre Doctor – South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT)
South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) is looking for additional doctors to work in as part of the multidisciplinary team (HCAs, Nurses, Paramedics, Non-Medical Prescribers) at our Tiverton Urgent Treatment Centre. The UTC sees a variety of injuries and illnesses, offering x-ray and point of care testing. We aim to provide care closer to home and relieve pressure on the urgent and emergency care system.
Key aspects of the role will include:
- Face to face consultations directly with patients, relatives and/or their carers
- Providing risk-based patient focused care
- Working as part of our clinical team to provide primary care support
- Undertake appropriate prescribing
- Use point of care diagnostics to support decision making
- Onward referral of patients as appropriate
- Contribute to a positive team ethos
