SUMMARY:Strategic Management Programme - Advanced 2 Leading in Uncertainty (F2F)
DESCRIPTION:  \nMaximum Capacity: 15 \n  \nSummary: \nThis advanced module develops the judgement\, adaptability and leadership discipline required to lead effectively when information is incomplete\, and conditions are changing.  \nDelegates will explore how to distinguish between known risks\, emerging risks and ambiguity\, and how to select the right leadership response through control\, adaptation and influence. The session develops practical approaches to scenario thinking\, decision-making\, communication\, resilience and leadership alignment.  \nThe module recognises that uncertainty cannot always be removed. Instead\, leaders must create direction\, coherence and confidence while remaining able to adapt as circumstances evolve.  \n  \nCourse content: \n\nUnderstanding different types of uncertainty and selecting appropriate leadership responses\nDecision-making with incomplete information and using scenario thinking\nAdaptive leadership and balancing organisational stability with agility\nCommunicating effectively\, maintaining confidence and supporting teams through uncertainty\nBuilding resilience through leadership alignment\, structured decision-making and continuous learning\n\nOn completion of this course delegates will be able to (expected outcome): \n\nDiagnose uncertainty and make confident\, reasoned decisions without waiting for perfect information\nAdapt leadership approaches while maintaining clear direction\, effective communication and organisational stability\nUse scenario thinking\, decision frameworks and leadership alignment to strengthen resilience and maintain organisational coherence under pressure

SUMMARY:Project Management - Project Management Fundamentals (Virtual)
DESCRIPTION:  \nMaximum Capacity: 20 \n  \nSummary:  \nThis introductory module establishes the foundations for the wider Project Management in General Practice Programme and provides delegates with a practical framework for managing projects within a primary care environment.  \nDelegates explore what constitutes a project\, how project activity differs from business-as-usual operational management\, and the key stages through which a project progresses from initial idea or problem through to implementation\, review and closure.  \nThe session introduces practical approaches to defining the problem\, establishing clear objectives\, agreeing scope\, identifying deliverables and establishing appropriate project roles and governance. Delegates will apply these principles to realistic General Practice scenarios and begin developing a structured Project Charter that can be used within their own organisation.  \n  \nCourse content: \n\nExplore what constitutes a project and distinguish project activity from operational management and business-as-usual activity\, using examples drawn from practice and PCN environments\nIntroduce a practical project lifecycle of Identify ? Define ? Plan ? Deliver ? Review ? Embed\, considering what needs to happen at each stage and common reasons why projects fail\nDevelop clear problem and opportunity statements\, SMART objectives\, deliverables and success measures to ensure projects address the right problem before solutions are selected\nDefine what is in and out of scope\, identify constraints\, assumptions and dependencies\, and establish appropriate responsibilities using sponsor\, project manager\, project team and RACI principles\nBring the core components together within a practical General Practice Project Charter\, providing a structured foundation from which planning and delivery can begin\n\n  \nOn completion of this c0urse delegates will be able to (expected outcome): \n\nDistinguish projects from business-as-usual activity and explain the key stages of an effective project lifecycle\nTranslate an operational problem or improvement opportunity into a clearly defined project with appropriate objectives\, scope\, deliverables and success measures\nDevelop a proportionate Project Charter establishing the purpose\, governance and responsibilities required to progress a General Practice project
