The course covers assessment of tissue types\, assessment and management of infection\, exudate levels\, wound edges/ surrounding skin including knowing when to escalate deteriorating and/ or infected wounds/ leg ulcers and the appropriate onwards referral required. The training also covers the local dressing formulary\, dressing indications and the leg ulcer pathways at a basic level.
