Hanham Health offers a wide range of employment opportunities across its wide and varied services. We are currently seeking one or more healthcare assistants to support in the delivery of the services set out below.
Hanham Vasectomy Service
This service is being transferred to Hanham Health from 1st October 2019 and we are looking for one or more healthcare assistants to join the team and help to provide support to the surgical procedures as well as the counselling and support offered to patients. These clinics will run on a weekly basis at Kingswood Medical Centre (Alma Road) and on a fortnightly basis at Longton Grove Surgery (Weston Super Mare). Travel expenses will be paid.
Fromeside Medium Secure Unit (Blackberry Hill Hospital)
Hanham Health provides the primary care service to patients residing at this mental health facility. There is an opportunity to do 1-2 days a week at this unit, supporting the primary care nurse and GPs in phlebotomy and other observational duties. This is a unique environment and would suit a candidate with a particular interest in mental health.
Hanham Health delivers general practice services to patients registered to Hanham Surgery, Oldland Surgery and Almondsbury Surgery. In addition to the two services listed above, there is an opportunity to maintain variety and develop skills by working regular sessions at one or more of these sites.
Training and Development – Hanham Health is able to offer training and development to keen and willing candidates in order to equip them with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their role and to support future progression.
Requirements – Previous experience of working as healthcare assistant and having phlebotomy skills are essential. Training for other elements of our services will be provided.
