Hours: Negotiable up to full-time (37.5 hours)
Salary: Dependent on experience and qualifications
We are a GMS practice with 6 GP partners and two salaried GPs located on the outskirts of Taunton. Our patient list size is 10,200 and continuing to grow.
Sadly our amazing Lead Nurse is relocating so we are now looking for another proactive and enthusiastic Lead Nurse to join our nursing team. Applicants must be RGN registered with at least 5 years post registration experience, have experience in primary care practice nursing and a recognised qualification in chronic disease management (asthma/COPD/diabetes). Previous experience in a lead nurse role is a distinct advantage.
The team at Crown is forward thinking and dynamic. Above all it is a very friendly place to work with lots of flexibility and plenty of opportunities to learn and develop in a very supportive environment.
The Lead Practice Nurse will be responsible for leading the nursing team at the practice. The team includes three other Practice Nurses and two HCAs. The role will include the organisation of services and clinics, policies and protocols, nurse rota etc. The role will involve close liaison with the Managing Partner and GP Partners.
The post holder will operate within their own sphere of competence to provide expert professional clinical advice to patients, carers and colleagues, ensuring clinical safety and excellence.
This is an interesting and fulfilling role in a forward thinking practice where nurse involvement and engagement is seen as a key aspect in our future development.
We are very happy to look at the number of hours for this role up to full-time for the right candidate.
