The role

We are looking for a part-time Occupational Health Nurse to join the Safety and Health Service, providing a range of screening services to the staff and students of the University of Bristol.

What will you be doing?

The role includes providing a range of health surveillance programmes, course related immunisations (including phlebotomy), and pre-course health screening of students on vocational courses.  The post holder will also be expected to undertake pre-employment health screening and basic ergonomic assessments. They will also be expected to contribute to university wellbeing campaigns and participate in the day to day running of the service.

You should apply if

The ideal candidate will be a Registered General Nurse, with recent experience and competence in the administration of immunisations and phlebotomy. They should demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be willing to undergo the necessary training to develop specialist occupational health knowledge and skills. They will be expected to be self-motivated and able to manage their own workload, while working effectively within a small team under the direction of the  Occupational Health Manager and Advisers.

Contract type: part time, 21 hours per week

Grade: G

Salary: £26,715 – £30,046 per annum (pro rata)
