Hanham Secure Health is seeking Registered General Nurses who are looking for new opportunities to work
within an environment and service that is unique and offers variety, challenge, a chance to learn, develop or
teach and the ability to really make a difference to people’s lives. Working within prison healthcare and with
Hanham Secure Health offers all of these things.

We currently have vacancies within one of our male prisons; HMP Bristol. HMP Bristol is a closed male prison
that holds up to 485 offenders, both remand and sentenced, aged 18 and over. The prison has a number of units
housing men with complex health and well-being needs.

We also offer our nursing staff the opportunity for cross-site working to really expand and vary their experience
and career portfolio. This includes opportunities to work within general practice sites to ensure skill and
competency maintenance and development.

We are looking for Registered General Nurses to join our team of healthcare professionals, which includes GPs,
Advanced Clinical Practitioners, Allied Health Professionals, Registered Mental Health Nurses, Psychiatrists and
more; all of whom come together to deliver multidisciplinary and interagency services to some of the most
vulnerable and marginalised people in our society.

As a Registered General Nurse, you will undertake a range of clinical tasks as outlined in the attached job
description. Previous experience of working in prisons is not a requirement and opportunities also exist for
newly qualified nurses and student nurses. Our robust induction, training, and development pathways will
ensure you have the tools, resources, and knowledge needed to thrive in this unique area of medicine.
