Junior Healthcare Assistant – University of Bristol Students’ Health Service
Overview
The role
University of Bristol Students’ Health Service is a GP practice for University students and their dependents. We are looking to recruit a healthcare assistant (HCA) to work 2 days (14 hours) per week (Monday and Tuesday).
We are a close and friendly primary care practice team that includes GPs, nurses, healthcare assistants, pharmacists, psychologists and other allied professionals at an award winning university health service. Situated within a purpose built practice in a beautiful setting.
We would encourage a visit to the practice to meet the team prior to application.
Salary range- £24,685 (£13.56 per hour) to £26,093 (£14.34 per hour) based on 35 hours per week.
What will you be doing?
As an HCA you will support the work of the clinical staff and have responsibility for a range of clinical and administrative duties, e.g. phlebotomy (taking blood), taking observations, urinalysis, acting as a chaperone for coil clinics, ordering medical supplies, and stocking up clinical rooms.
You should apply if
You are a highly motivated, enthusiastic, Health Care Assistant, who holds a recognised phlebotomy qualification, ideally with experience in a Primary Care setting, and with a special interest in the health of young people.
