Now practices are using online triage systems, and when the triage is being done by clinicians, it is even more important that signposting is embedded into the process, to ensure the right patient is seen by the right person at the right time.

This 3-hour session will enable nonclinical teams to:

• Safely sign post using the tools provided to them.
• Read between the lines when a patient is asking for an appointment
• Negotiate with patients who are demanding an appointment
• Challenge patients’ misconceptions about capacity and access
• Confidently manage challenging situations
