As you may be aware, the GP Committee of the BMA has announced a return to GP Collective Action in response to the imposed 2026/27 GP contract.

The initial focus will be on data sharing agreements. A template letter has been circulated to BMA members and LMCs, enabling practices to signal their intention to cease participation in voluntary secondary-use data sharing agreements (DSAs) from May 2026.

Over the coming weeks, Avon LMC will work closely with One Care and the ICB as further guidance emerges from the BMA. We are committed to a collaborative approach that avoids legal or financial risk to individual practices and will keep you updated on next steps
