Salaried GP – A Role Designed for Sustainable General Practice

Looking for a salaried GP role where you can do your best work, feel genuinely supported, and enjoy being part of a great team?

We are a friendly, forward-thinking, multi-disciplinary practice in Somerset working across two sites both within easy reach of Taunton, Bristol and the beautiful Somerset coast.

We really enjoy our work… and we like to ensure our work is sustainable by supporting each other and looking after the health and wellbeing of practice team members.

We’re now looking for a Salaried GP to join our growing team — newly qualified or experienced, all welcome.

Why This Job Is Different

  • 25 patients per day when not Duty Doctor – a workload designed to be safe and sustainable.
  • 15-minute appointments as standard.
  • Protected admin time fully aligned with the BMA model contract.
  • PCN Paramedics available to support with home visits.
  • Limited documents thanks to streamlined workflow and experienced admin support.
  • Prescriptions shared fairly across the GP team.
  • Total triage system already embedded and working well.
  • Supportive PCN –  wide range of services including Enhanced Care Home Team

A Team That Actually Feels Like a Team

  • Bi-weekly morning huddles — space to catch up, share cases, and support each other.
  • Monthly “Lunch & Learn” sessions to keep learning together.
  • A training practice with a regular GP trainee and plans to expand further.
  • Experienced nursing team independently managing Diabetes, COPD and Asthma.
  • In-house expertise in vasectomies, coils/Implants, microsuction and joint injections — with training opportunities available.

We have lots of expertise within the practice and you will be encouraged and supported in your own areas of special interest.

A Practice Rooted in Community

Social prescribing is at the heart of what we do, supported by our Health & Wellbeing Coach and Village Agent. We run an active PPG, Walking Group and Gardening Group — because health is more than medicine.
