Introduction to Clinical Leadership & Management in General Practice

A one-hour interactive workshop for Lead Nurses and aspiring Nurse Leaders

Why Attend?

The role of the Clinical Lead is evolving. General Practice needs Clinical Leads more than ever.

Lead Nurses today are expected to:

  • Deliver excellent patient care
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams
  • Support governance and quality improvement
  • Influence organisational decisions
  • Manage difficult conversations
  • Contribute to strategic planning
  • Prepare for CQC inspections
  • Support staff wellbeing

Yet many nurses tell us they have had little formal preparation for these leadership responsibilities.

This practical introductory workshop has been designed to bridge that gap.

Why Now?

The role of the Clinical Lead has changed significantly.

Today’s clinical leaders are expected to influence services, support organisational priorities, lead teams and contribute to strategic decision-making alongside delivering high-quality clinical care.

Many nurses step into these responsibilities without formal leadership development.

This workshop provides the opportunity to begin building those skills with confidence.
