Summary:
The highly interactive module develops greater self-awareness by helping delegates understand their own personality and communication preferences and recognise how these may differ from those of colleagues.
Using the selected TypeCoach/Insights diagnostic, delegates explore their individual preferences without labelling people or treating personality as fixed. The emphasis is on translating greater self-awareness into practical leadership behaviours.
Delegates consider how differences in communication, information processing, decision-making and working preferences can influence relationships, teamwork and conflict, before practising ways to adapt their approach to work more effectively with others
Course content:
- Explore individual personality preferences through the selected diagnostic and consider how these may influence leadership behaviour
- Identify how colleagues may communicate, process information, make decisions and approach work differently
- Determine how personal preferences influence communication, meetings, delegation, decision-making and leadership relationships
- Develop practical strategies for adapting communication and leadership behaviours when working with people whose preferences differ from your own
- Healthcare-based scenarios to consider how personality awareness can improve collaboration, reduce misunderstanding and strengthen working relationships
