Travel Health Update

Who Should Attend?

This update is suitable for Practices Nurses.

Learning Outcomes

After this study day you will be: Confident to carry out and understand the importance of the travel consultation and pre-travel assessment. Demonstrate knowledge of common travel related illnesses and the use of vaccines to prevent them. Demonstrate knowledge of recent disease outbreak. Describe the main risks to travellers and how they may be minimised. Demonstrate knowledge of Malaria. Outline the role and restrictions of anti-malaria chemoprophylaxis. Knowledge of how to access the relevant tools and resources available to Travel Health.
