Asthma (Paediatric) (pm)

Suitable for nurses, GPs and pharmacists who are involved in, or would like to become involved in, the diagnosis and management of children with asthma. The day also enables you to network with colleagues. The day covers the under 5s, primary school age children and adolescents. By the end of the day delegates will:

Have a clear understanding of how and when to diagnose asthma in children, based on national guidelines
Recognise the different approaches to managing asthma in children as described in BTS/SIGN, NICE and GINA guidelines
Have increased knowledge of drugs and inhaler devices for paediatric asthma and their licensed indications
Gain more clarity about the medico-legal and ethical issues when treating children with asthma

There will be some optional self directed learning which can add to you CPD hours.
