Who Should Attend

This course is designed for staff new to the healthcare sector or those simply wishing to refresh their knowledge on data protection.

With the UK now being separated from the EU, GDPR and Data Protection Regulations will continue to operate as normal for at least 12 months while we are in a transitional period. For now, one thing is certain we still have a duty to protect our patients data and their confidentiality. This course is designed to provide you with what you need to know about the legislation, rights for patients and staff and what information governance means in practice whilst at work. We will cover relevant data breaches in the healthcare sector and actual fines imposed by the ICO. This session will cover, Data Protection Legislation, Information Governance, Data Privacy and Confidentiality.
