Two-Day Core Training for Unregistered Staff (Including HCSWs)  

This two-day core training is designed for unregistered staff, including Healthcare Support Workers (HCSWs), who support immunisation delivery under appropriate supervision. In line with UKHSA National Minimum Standards, the course builds core competencies and understanding of the immunisation process. Participants will learn: 

·        The purpose and structure of the UK immunisation programme 

·        Roles and responsibilities in supporting vaccine delivery 

·        Safe handling, storage, and disposal of vaccines 

·        Recognising and reporting adverse reactions 

·        Effective communication with patients and carers, including addressing concerns 

·        Infection control principles in immunisation settings 

·        Supporting documentation and record-keeping 

·        Awareness of legal and ethical boundaries, including consent processes 

This training empowers unregistered staff to contribute confidently and safely to immunisation services within their scope of practice.
