HCA Ear Care Course (F2F)

The HCA course is for non registered clinicians including Assistant practitioners – HCAs should be accompanied by their mentor. This is a mandatory requirement.
Expected Outcome:
- Anatomy and physiology of a normal ear
- Holistic assessment
- Potential causes of ear wax build up and how could be prevented.
- Special precautions and contraindication of ear irrigation
- Manual wax removal and ear irrigation ( practical sessions)
- Maintenance of equipment
- Accountability and Delegation
- Documentation
