Summary:

This masterclass supports PCN Managers to strengthen their personal impact and confidence when working with senior clinical, managerial and system stakeholders. 

Delegates explore professional presence, assertiveness, facilitation and communication and consider how to present recommendations with greater clarity and confidence. The course focuses particularly on situations in which PCN Managers need to contribute to meetings, challenge constructively, facilitate discussion between competing stakeholders or represent the PCN externally. 

The session combines practical techniques with opportunities for reflection and rehearsal so that delegates leave with approaches that can be applied immediately within their professional role. 

Course content:

• Explore professional presence and the factors that contribute to credibility and confidence within senior PCN and system environments
• Develop assertive communication approaches that enable managers to express professional views clearly without becoming either passive or confrontational
• Strengthen presentation and verbal communication skills when presenting recommendations, explaining decisions or representing the PCN
• Develop practical facilitation techniques for managing meetings, disagreement and competing stakeholder perspectives
• Approve the clarity and impact of concise written reports and board recommendations
• Consider personal resilience, boundaries and professional networks as components of sustainable leadership effectiveness
