Practice Treatment Room Nurse – Close Farm Surgery
Overview
We are looking to appoint a friendly, motivated and compassionate treatment room nurse to join our nursing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced primary care nurse, a secondary care nurse looking to transition into general practice or a newly qualified nurse looking to develop new skills. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Delivering high-quality nursing care to patients within the practice
- Carry out immunisations and vaccinations, wound care, ear irrigation
- Undertake blood pressures, urinalysis, venepuncture and ECG’s
- Support chronic disease management (e.g. asthma, diabetes, hypertension)
- Support family planning checks, cervical cytology, HRT reviews
- Provide health promotion and patient education
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team
You will be a Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration, strong communication and organisational skills and a proactive and patient-focused approach. Experience in primary care is desirable, but not essential. Nurses from secondary care with a willingness to learn and develop are encouraged to apply.
We are looking for someone who can work 16 hours per week on the following days:
Monday 8.30am – 12.30pm (4 hours)
Tuesday 8.30am – 12.30pm (4 hours)
Friday 8.30am – 5pm (8 hours with a 30-minute lunch break)

Our pay is £17 - £21 per hour (dependent on experience) and there will be a 6-month training and probationary period.
