The Ballot for List Closure – Another Message from the BMA

A further reminder about the letter sent last week from Electoral Reform Services to all practices in England to inform them of how to take part in the BMA’s ballot on whether or not they would be willing to collectively close their lists. At this stage, it is only a fact-finding exercise by GPC to test GP opinion across the country. IT IS NOT IN ITSELF A BALLOT FOR INDUSTRIAL ACTION. It is most important that practices complete this, so that the GPC can gauge the strength of opinion in favour of this action or otherwise.

The BMA has been informed that some practices may have not received their letter, possibly because addresses, or even practice names have changed and the BMA database has not been updated. If your practice has NOT received its letter, we ask you to contact the BMA by email AS SOON AS POSSIBLE info.gpc@bma.org.uk
