Strategic Management Programme – Advanced 1 Advanced Financial Strategy (Online)

September 30 @ 9:30 am - 1:00 pm

Summary:

This advanced module develops the strategic financial capability required to shape the long-term viability, resilience and direction of a primary care organisation.

Delegates will move beyond short-term financial management to consider how decisions about workforce, estate, investment, collaboration and income shape the organisation over time. The session explores long-term financial modelling, risk concentration, capital allocation, resilience and scenario planning, helping leaders make deliberate financial choices rather than allowing their financial model to develop through drift.

The module places financial strategy firmly within leadership responsibility, enabling delegates to connect financial decisions with organisational priorities, risk appetite and future positioning.

Course content:

  • Long-term financial strategy, organisational positioning and financial resilience
  • Capital allocation, investment decisions and managing financial risk
  • Workforce configuration, estate strategy and sustainable cost structures
  • Long-term financial modelling, scenario planning and strategic KPIs
  • Financial governance, risk appetite and balancing growth, stability and collaboration

On completion of this course delegates will be able to (expected outcome):

  • Assess their organisation’s long-term financial trajectory and identify emerging risks, vulnerabilities and opportunities
  • Use financial modelling and scenario planning to make informed decisions about workforce, investment, estate and organisational resilience
  • Apply stronger financial governance and make strategic trade-offs that support long-term viability and organisational direction
