Paramedic – Frome Valley Medical Centre

Up to 32 hours per week
Salary: up to £41,710 pro rata depending on experience
We are looking for a paramedic to join our practice team. Frome Valley Medical Centre is a
friendly and supportive GP practice, providing a high standard of care to 14,500 patients.
The practice is part of a forward thinking PCN which consists of 5 practices, with a combined
population of 65,000 patients. We are seeking a candidate who is already working as a
paramedic at band 7 or higher who is looking for an opportunity to broaden their horizons,
work more autonomously and take on greater clinical responsibility.
The successful candidate will need to be a qualified HCPC Paramedic with full UK Driving
Licence. Some experience of the Primary Care Setting would be desirable but not essential.
Duties will include: Telephone & Face to Face consultations by running your own clinic in
surgery, which may include minor ailments, paediatrics, medicines management and elderly
care. You may also be required to attend home visits.
Your role will require you to participate in all aspects of patient care through knowledge
gained from your training. As a paramedic based in primary care you will provide care for
patients from birth through to End of life Care, from initial history taking, clinical assessment,
diagnosis, treatment, prescribing and evaluation of their care both at the surgery and within
patients’ homes/place of residence.

Reimbursement Scheme, and therefore will need to adhere to the paramedic role criteria and
the associated training/approval roadmap.

The Practice is located in a semi-rural area on the outskirts of Bristol, easily accessible from
Bristol and Bath, as well as the Cotswolds. We are based in a modern, pleasant building with
good car parking facilities for both staff and patients.
